# Direct message

Eventmaker comes with a powerful language editor for your direct message. It’s derived from the markup language [Liquid](https://github.com/Shopify/liquid/wiki/Liquid-for-Designers). This page shows you how you can use the custom Eventmaker liquid tags and variables to build your direct message.
